Koenigsegg to launch Agera in US market, alongside new model

December 16, 2014
Koenigsegg is reportedly preparing to formally launch its Agera supercar in the US market.
The Swedish supercar maker early this year announced plans to crown Manhattan Motorcars as the first official distributor in the US, where the sole One:1 in the country will be sold — but only as a show car, according to Car and Driver.

The company reportedly planning to add at least three more dealers in North America. More importantly, buyers will finally be able to pick up the existing Agera in FMVSS- and CMVSS-compliant form.

The Agera represents just the first move in Koenigsegg’s US expansion plans, as the company’s next model is expected to available as a street-legal ride in North America.

Pricing and launch windows for the US-bound Agera and future model have not yet been confirmed.
