Billed as simply a design study, the yet-unnamed wagon is essentially a family-focused version of the well-received Emgrand concept that was unveiled earlier this year at the Shanghai Motor Show. It stands out thanks to a muscular design characterized by angular headlights, an Accord-esque grille, a deep front bumper with a large air dam, and a tall, slightly upswept belt line.
The roof line peaks above the driver and ends in a discreet trunk-mounted spoiler, while the rear fascia boasts an upright hatch and horizontal LED tail lamps. Although it’s slightly reminiscent of Kia’s Sportspace design study, the concept is one of the sportiest-looking cars Geely has ever shown.
Pictures of the interior haven’t been leaked. Similarly, the concept is most likely powered by a gasoline-electric hybrid drivetrain, but full technical details aren’t available yet.
Website CarNewsChina speculates the wagon will be presented to the public for the first time later this month at the Guangzhou Motor Show. Whether the concept will spawn a production model is anyone’s guess at this point.
