Chevy unveils two new Corvette packages for 2015

Chevrolet has announced two new packages for its Corvette Stingray coupe and convertible for the 2015 model year. Both models will go on sale later this year.

2015 Corvette Stingray Atlantic Design Package

The first of the two new models is the 2015 Corvette Stingray Atlantic Design Package. Inspired by the “luxury and performance of private jets seen at European vacation destinations,” the Atlantic trim will be available for Stingray convertibles fitted with Chevy’s Z51 performance package.

In order to emulate that jet set theme, the Atlantic comes fitted with a Z06-style front splitter; Shark Gray accents on its vents, hood “stinger” and tonneau inserts; Chrome Torque wheels and, of course, custom luggage.

The Atlantic Design Package can be ordered in any color offered for the standard Stingray convertible.

2015 Corvette Stingray Pacific Design Package

Aimed at the track crowd, the Corvette Stingray Pacific Design Package can be added to any 2LT or 3LT coupe fitted with the Z51 performance package.

Farther reaching than the Atlantic package, the Pacific trim adds satin black racing stripes, satin black wheels, carbon fiber accents both inside and out, red brake calipers and competition sport seats. The Pacific is limited to Torch Red, Black, Arctic White, Blade Silver and Shark Gray exterior colors.

“We plan to make news with the Corvette Stingray every year, in part by offering special-edition models that offer a unique, personal ownership experience,” said Todd Christensen, Corvette marketing manager. “Our customers have told us they appreciate these limited-edition models, which have become an important part of the Corvette’s legacy.”

Chevrolet will announce pricing at a later date. Both Corvette models were previewed by concepts at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
