The refresh is said to include a few styling changes, with a revised front bumper and electronically-controlled front air ducts that shut to improve aerodynamic efficiency at high speeds, according to Autocar.
The German automaker is also believed to be working under the hood, improving output from 3.6- and 3.8-liter flat-six engines. The latter is expected to produce 425 horsepower in a successor to the 911 GTS.
Unnamed officials inside Porsche have denied rumors that the 911 lineup will see a flat-four mill. The smaller engine is still said to be on tap for the Boxster and Cayman, however.
Recent spy shots have also shed light on Porsche’s upcoming 911 GT3 RS. The track-focused coupe appears to be redesigned for more downforce, with 500 horsepower expected to further improve performance.
The new models may be formally revealed before the end of the year.
