Based on a stock X6, the M Sport gets a full body kit consisting of a deep front bumper with oversized air dams, body-colored side skirts and a new rear bumper that packs a functional air diffuser and two chromed exhaust tips. Bespoke 19-inch alloy wheels and model-specific kidney grilles wrap up with exterior modifications.
The updates continue inside the X6 with power-adjustable sport seats for the front passengers, a M Sport-specific key, an anthracite-colored headliner, aluminum door sills and a M-designed three-spoke multi-function steering wheel.
The M Sport model comes standard with an Adaptive M suspension that adds a self-leveling air suspension on the rear axle and BMW’s Dynamic Damper control system.
The package does not include any performance modifications, meaning buyers will be asked to pick either a 300-horsepower turbocharged straight-six or a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 rated at 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. of torque. Both engines are linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and most models come standard with all-wheel drive.
Like the standard X6, the 2015 X6 M Sport is scheduled to go on sale across the United States in late 2014. Pricing information will be published closer to its on-sale date.
