Spied: 2015 Honda CR-V

June 24, 2014
Our spy photographers have sent us new images of Honda’s revised 2015 CR-V undergoing hot weather testing in Death Valley.

Introduced in its current form in 2012, Honda’s popular CR-V will undergo a mid-cycle refresh for the 2015 model year. Although a minor nip-and-tuck, the 2015 CR-V will arrive with a few styling tweaks, including a new front grille, re-shaped headlights and updated fog lights. Outback it will be more of the same, with the CR-V adopting new taillights and a restyled tailgate.

The 2015 CR-V will also be treated to a new set of alloy wheels.

Our spies managed to snap a photo of the CR-V’s interior, but it doesn’t look like any major revisions are in the works. One thing is for certain – the new CR-V won’t offer a standard touchscreen infotainment system like the Civic and Fit.

Under hood we hear the 2015 CR-V could borrow the direct-injection 2.4L four-cylinder from the Accord. Horsepower would stay the same at 185, but the addition of DI could push the CR-V from 163 lb-ft of torque to 181 lb-ft. A CVT would replace the CR-V’s current five-speed auto.

No word on when we might see the 2015 Honda CR-V, but this November’s LA auto show seems like a logical launching point.
