Honda has announced a few changes to its 2015 Civic lineup, adding a new midlevel package and modestly increasing prices for other trim levels.
The base model LX sedan with a five-speed manual transmission now fetches $19,280 (including $790 freight), representing a slight $100 premium over the 2014 model.
The company is promoting the new SE trim level as a money-saving package slotted between the LX and the higher-end EX packages. It is equipped with a CVT, 15-inch alloy wheels with black inserts, LaneWatch tech and an upgraded audio system.
The upgrades included in the SE package would add $1,100 if individually aded to the LX, however the new trim package only costs $700 more than the entry-level sedan.
Buyers will have a chance to purchase the 2015 Civic sedan and hatchback lineup this fall.
