Dodge, Ron Burgundy team up for Durango ad campaign [Videos]

October 6, 2013
To promote its refreshed Durango three-row SUV, Dodge has found a new spokesman: Fictional TV news anchor Ron Burgundy.

Played by Will Ferrell, the off-color anchor made his debut in 2004′s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Now, not only is Ferrell starring in another Anchorman film (due out in December), he’s hawking the 2014 Durango in a series of ads.

Chrysler and Paramount pictures have teamed up for the ad campaign, which will include nearly 70 videos according to advertising industry journal Adweek

In the first few posted online – seen below – Burgundy compares the Durango’s available 360 horsepower V8 to a single horse, brags about its “standard” glovebox (make sure you watch both glovebox videos) and then struggles to promote its fuel economy.

Needless to say, we look forward to the next 60-plus spots.
