As its name implies, the 110 WB 6×6 Concept is essentially a stretched version of the new Flying Huntsman that is fitted with an extra axle. Like its four-wheeled sibling it features plastic body cladding, a Kahn-specific front end with a redesigned radiator grille and five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped by mud terrain tires.
The 110 WB 6×6 is powered by a GM-sourced 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine that makes anywhere between 400 and 450 horsepower depending on its state of tune, over twice the output of a stock Defender. The eight-cylinder engine is linked to a six-speed automatic transmission, but performance figures are being kept under wraps until the beginning of the Geneva show.
Kahn explains that the Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6×6 is a design study built to gauge the public’s interest in a six-wheeled Defender. If approved for production, the off-roader is expected to go on sale in England and in select markets across Europe before the end of the year. Pricing information has not been disclosed but the four-wheeled Huntsman carries a base price of over £125,000 (nearly $200,000) before taxes are factored in.
