Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has reportedly reduced Maserati production at its Grugliasco plant outside Turin, Italy.
The factory will drop two assembly shifts per week and idle the lines for one week out of four through July, CGIL union leader Federico Bellono told Automotive News Europe.

The plant builds Maserati’s top nameplates, the Ghibli and Quattroporte, which have contributed to stellar sales growth in 2014. Global sales were up 137 percent across the globe and soared by 172 percent in the US market.
The company does not appear to be having any problem selling its cars, but the growth rate appears to be waning from last year’s highs.
“We knew we could not keep on growing sales of the Ghibli and Quattroporte,” FCA chief Sergio Marchionne said at the Geneva show. “They have to slow down and settle and that is what is happening.”
Fiat Chrysler last year announced plans to limit global deliveries to 75,000 annually, helping to preserve exclusivity against luxury rivals.
