Despite offering 18-inch wheels, Bluetooth handsfree, a backup camera and heated side mirrors as standard, the 2014 Highlander will essentially hold the line on pricing. The 2014 Highlander LE equipped with Toyota’s 2.7L four-cylinder will carry an MSRP of $29,215, or just $195 more than the outgoing model.
In order to keep the ordering process as streamlined as possible, the LE is offered as a mono-spec with no individual options. The step-up LE plus is also offered as a mono-spec trim, but adds niceties like fog lights, power liftgate, three-zone climate control, leather-wrapped steering wheel and an eight-way power driver’s seat. The LE Plus, which comes standard with a 3.5L V6, will carry a base price of $32,740, with all-wheel drive pushing the bottom line to $34,200.
The mid-level Highlander XLE will be available for $36,040, which includes standard leather, push button start and heated front seats.
The Limited grade adds 19-inch wheels, LED daytime running lights, blindspot monitoring, second-row captain’s chairs and an upgraded audio system for $39,640.
New for 2014, the top-spec Highlander Limited Platinum will be available for $42,130. The range-topping Highlander includes upgrades like a Driver Technology Package, panoramic moonroof, heated steering wheel, and heated second-row captain’s chairs.
The 2014 Highlander Hybrid will be available in just two trim levels – $47,300 Limited form and Platinum guise for $49,790.
The prices listed do not include a mandatory $860 destination charge.
