Images of an undisguised XT5 (pictured) have already surfaced online, along with spy photos of a pre-production prototype, though full details remain unclear.
The SRX‘s successor is expected to fit in the same overall footprint, with seating for five occupants. A longer-wheelbase crossover will eventually be added to the XT-series family, providing enough room for a third row of seats, however the XT5 is believed to be offered only in a two-row configuration.
The image leaks show styling closely resembling the new CT6; both models share similar headlight and grille designs. The revamped crossover appears to bring a more streamlined profile than the SRX, complete with a tapered hatch.
Powertrain options have not yet been announced, though the base model will likely ship with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Rumors also point to two optional V6 powerplants for higher trim levels.
Following the Dubai debut, the XT5 will make its way to the Los Angeles show later in November. The company has already confirmed plans to bring the crossover to market sometime next year.
